Fifty-One Years of Koach

When Coach Bishop called me at the store, he had a very specific creation in mind: a custom pendent to celebrate his career of coaching sports at the local high school. This retirement tribute was to be a striking and momentous symbol of 51 years. He wanted the design to be ornate and masculine in 14 karat gold, and to feature a “KOACH” inscription, as he had come to be known by students and family. I made a list of inspiration pictures, featuring a range of pendants in various sizes, designs, with and without set stones. Together, we decided on this vertical pendant with a byzantine border and black inlay to boldly brandish the KOACH moniker.
